arrival in djanet
After arriving on a night flight at Tiska Djanet Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted and transferred to your bivouac accommodation near Djanet. Here, you can relax and recharge, in anticipation for the exciting adventure that lies ahead.
day 1
Departure towards Timras through a stunning landscape of dunes and dark rocks towering towards the sky. Overnight bivouac.
day 2
From one oued (dry riverbed) to another, we head towards T-In-Afazo, entering cliffs sculpted by erosion until we reach the Assousou canyon. Overnight bivouac.
day 3
Through the T-In-Afazo canyon, we emerge into the cirque of Tilelene, with its cliffs rooted in the dunes. Overnight bivouac.
day 4
Heading towards Tikobawin, we enter the maze of eroded sandstone leading us to the guelta of Taouia. Overnight bivouac.
day 5
Through the Ioulalaten gorges, we arrive at Oued Hell and then Tan-Zaïd. Overnight bivouac.
day 6
Return to Djanet through the vast Erg Admer sand dune plain, overnight bivouac.
day 7
Through the beautiful landscapes of Tiouaiteghen, we complete our trek. In the afternoon, return to Djanet and settle at the Duneya Tours guesthouse. City tour, including the palm grove, museum, and market visit. Dinner and transfer to the airport late in the evening.
